Hello Cool Cat Families,

What a wonderful week we have had at Coronation!

Today was our “-ER” spirit day! The ideas were so creative. We had “learners”, “teachers”, “bakers”, “firefighters”, “unicorn tamers”, “horseback riders” and so much more!

We also had our second assembly of the school year and this month, our Kindergartens joined us! We had a group of excellent MC’s from our Student Leadership Club who took us through the assembly. We also recognised many students who have done incredible things over the month of October.

We would like to wish our Wiccan and Neopagan families this coming Monday a Happy Samhain.

Monday is also Halloween. Should your child choose to wear a costume on Monday, a friendly reminder that all “weapon”-looking accessories (i.e., lightsabers, swords, guns, etc.) cannot come to school and full face masks or masks covering eyes are also not to come to school. Thank you for your understanding.

Looking ahead to November, it is Hindu Heritage Month. During Morning Announcements in November, we will be learning about important Canadian Hindu’s who have made a positive impact on Canada.

A couple notes from the office:

Parents and Guardians, please see this link to learn about Assistive Technology learning opportunities for you! https://www.wrdsb.ca/blog/2022/10/26/assistive-technology-training-for-families-in-november-2022/

Our Spirit Wear online store is about to close! You have until Monday if you would like to purchase spirit wear from our online store. Please use this link to access our online store. https://coronationapparel2022.itemorder.com/shop/home/?success=true

Our school has been chosen by the WRDSB to have our Remembrance Day assembly on November 11th, live streamed for public viewing. Because the assembly will be live streamed, it is necessary that all students have their Media Release Form completed. Currently, we have 1/3 of students who still need to complete this form.  The Media Release Form can be found on School Day. This form will allow us to know whether your child can participate in the assembly. There will be a separate area in the gym for students who are unable to be part of the live stream. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office.

Thank you for the generous donations for our Menstruation Product Drive. We collected two large boxes filled with supplies to be sent to support menstruators from Northern Canada.
