Happy Friday, Cool Cat Families,

We have had an amazing first week back at Coronation!  This week in classes students have been building community, learning routines, and exploring their classrooms.  

Today we are celebrating Coronation Cool Cat spirit day.  So many students wore blue, white and/ or red today in celebration.  We hope to have Coronation spirit wear on sale in the coming weeks for interested families which will include a reduced price t-shirt to ensure all students can purchase our spirit wear!

We look forward to welcoming our families into our school next week for our Cool Cat Open House on Wednesday, September 14th.  The open house will begin at 5:45 PM and run until 7:00 PM.  We look forward to inviting families back into the school and into our classrooms.

Next Friday Coronation is having our Terry Fox Run with a rain date on Monday.  All week long, classes will be taking the opportunity to talk about Terry Fox, his incredible journey and what it has meant for Canada and cancer research.  If you are interested, we will be collecting “Change for Change”.  Any spare change can be brought to school as a donation towards the Terry Fox Foundation.

A reminder that our parking lot cannot be used for drop off or pick up.  We ask that you please use Concession Road or Preston Mennonite Church to park and walk on to school property.  We have many students and families walking through our parking lot and in order to keep everyone safe, we thank you for not parking in our school lot.

This does not include families that are dropping off or picking up from extended day.

A couple notes from the office:

If you have yet to return your child(ren)s Data Verification Form that was sent home on Tuesday, please ensure these are back as soon as possible.

If your child is sick and will not be attending school, please call the attendance line 519 653 1141, Press 1 or email COR-attendance@wrdsb.ca before 8:30 AM.  This will allow our Attendance secretary, Mrs Bloemendal, and Office Manager, Mrs Cabral to complete safe arrival attendance efficiently.
