Good Afternoon, Cool Cat Families!
What a wonderful week we have had at school! There has been lots of excitement this week, from our Cool Cat Open House on Wednesday evening to our Terry Fox Run today, Coronation is hopping!
Thank you to all of the families who joined us on Wednesday. If you were unable to attend we look forward to seeing you at future school events.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with our School Council, we will be having our first meeting on October 12th. Please email jenni-rebecca_baer@wrdsb.ca or cor@wrdsb.ca to submit your name and we will contact you with more details.
We have an exciting week ahead. Next week is the International Week of the Deaf, Wednesday is International Day of Peace and Thursday is our first day of Fall!
There have been some questions about Monday being a Day of Mourning to reflect on Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s life and Her contributions. All WRDSB schools will be open on Monday for students. Schools have been encouraged by the Ministry of Education to observe a moment of silence. We recognize there may be staff and students who, for various reasons, do not wish to recognize a moment of silence in honour of Queen Elizabeth II. Anyone who chooses to not participate will be treated with respect and acceptance.
A couple notes from the office:
Plans of Care for students who require the use of an inhaler at school, those with severe allergies, or other medical needs will be coming home soon. Please watch for these and update them accordingly before returning them with your child to school. If your child has a new medical diagnosis of which the school should be aware, please contact the main office.
Do you have one of our chromebooks? If your family borrowed a chromebook, ipad, and/or charging cables, please return them to Coronation as soon as possible. Thank you.
Please remember, If your child is sick and will not be attending school, please call the attendance line 519 653 1141, Press 1 or email COR-attendance@wrdsb.ca before 8:30 AM.
Spirit Wear is coming! We will have a variety of items from which to choose. Each student will be able to purchase one t-shirt at a subsidised price of $5.00 with additional items being at a regular price.
