October 14th, 2022
Hello Cool Cat Families,
It’s been a great four day week at Coronation.
We’ve had a week full of learning, excitement, and fun and despite some wet and windy weather, we’ve made it outside all week to play at break!
Coming up next week our Jewish families are celebrating Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah. It is also DECE Appreciation Day on the 18th, School Bus Appreciation Day on the 19th and Library Workers Day on the 21st.
A couple notes from the office:
Thursday, October 21st is Picture Day. All students and staff will have their photos taken. No money or orders will be collected until AFTER PICTURE DAY. Proofs will be then sent home to families and orders can be made online. All students, whether they’re purchasing photos or not, will receive a class composite photo at no charge. This composite will replace class photos. We will have a retake day on November 17th for any student or staff who has missed or would like a retake of their photo.
We had our first School Council meeting this past Wednesday. Topics discussed included bringing back Pizza Days, upcoming fundraising efforts, and spirit wear. We look forward to bringing Pizza Lunch options for families very soon.
We are continuing with a Fundraiser that began last year for Loveable Labels.
Our Spirit Wear online store is up and running! Please use this link to access our online store. https://coronationapparel2022.itemorder.com/shop/home/?success=true
Your child(ren) will be bringing home information this afternoon regarding a subsidized Cool Cat T-Shirt for all Coronation students. If you would like to purchase a reduced cost t-shirt, it will be $5.00 and must be purchased through the school. All other spirit wear orders must be purchased online through the link above.
The office is continuing to collect menstrual pads, tampons, cloth pads, hot water bottles, and heating pads during the month of October in support of www.truenorthaid.ca, an organization that supports Northern Canadians with practical humanitarian support.
