Coronation Staff are looking forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, September 8th.
Please use this letter as an update on what’s happening in our school as well as upcoming events and important reminders. If you have trouble reading my letters on School Day, they are also posted on our website COR.WRDSB.CA

MESSAGES FROM THE OFFICE
First Day of School
The first day of school for students is Tuesday, September 8.
Our school day begins at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 3:05 p.m.
On the first day, classroom teachers will be outside on the tarmac beginning at 8:30 a.m. Teachers will have signs showing their homeroom. Other Coronation staff will also be outside to help students and families find the correct teacher. Please look for staff wearing safety vests.
At 8:45 a.m., please stay with us as we will begin with the signing of O’Canada, reciting our Territorial Acknowledgement and finishing with our School Song please find the lyrics here Coronation School Song
After our song, students will say goodbye to their families and travel into the school with their classes.
Who is My Child’s Teacher?
Beginning on Monday, September 7, families with a School-Day account can find their child’s homeroom:
- Log in to School-Day http://www.school-day.com
- Click Schools and Groups on the blue menu.
- Click Your Classes.
- Look for your child’s homeroom. Homeroom names will look like K2, 1A, 4/5A, etc.
- Once you know the homeroom, you can use the staff list below to find your child’s teacher.

Student Information Forms
On the first day of school, students will bring home and information regarding Student Insurance. Insurance forms DO NOT come back to the office. Please read the information on the form to learn how to purchase insurance.
Student Data Verification Forms will be sent home on Tuesday. These forms include information about your child, their address, as well as parent/guardian contact information. Please carefully review these forms to ensure the information is accurate and make changes where necessary.

Health and Medication
Students with a Plan of Care (anaphylaxis or significant medical conditions) will bring home a Plan of Care for review. It must be returned to the main office as soon as possible.
If your child is new or has recently developed a significant medical condition, please inform the office in order for a Plan of Care to be put into place.
All prescription and over-the-counter medication must be kept and administered at the main office and must have a completed Medication Administration Form.
If your child requires medication during the school day, please contact the main office.
Safety Reminders
Parking
Our parking lot is for staff only. Those with an accessible parking pass may also use our parking lot.
When dropping off or picking up your child, please park on a nearby side street and walk onto school property. Families may park along Concession Road or at Fairview Mennonite Church.
Dogs on School Property
Dogs are not permitted on school property during school hours.
If you bring your dog when walking your child to or from school, you will be asked to remain with your dog on the sidewalk off school property.

We encourage all families to become familiar with the Code of Conduct and Ministry-mandated school rules https://ontario.ca/schoolrules , which apply to all students, staff, parent/guardian(s) and other members of our school community.
