  • Guest Speaker for Literacy Night $250.00
  • Soft Touch Volleyballs for Schools Gymnasium  $409.51
  • Rocks and Rings on February 24th and 26th $520.00 plus GST
  • Flying Colour Project (simonsaysshow.ca) (requested by: Ms. Berry) $480.25
  • Cover Travel fee for Free Art Workshop Grades 1-4 and two split 4/5 classes (requested by: Mrs. Casale) $65.00
  • SHORE Health workshop for Grades 4-6 (requested by Ms. DaSilva) $400.00

 

Olympic Dance Recap

 RAISED $432.05 from the sale of 216 Bags of Flavoured Popcorn “From Farm to Table” at $2/ bag

Each Cool Cat Student received a Gold Medal. Cost of Medals were covered by Council $93.23

Craft Club for Grades 1 and 2

 Starting in the month of April on Thursdays during second Nutrition Break with the two Grades alternating every other Thursdays.

Chantal to reach out to Value Village for Gift to Give donation for supplies.

A parent in our Cool Cat Community has reached out to Chantal with a craft supply donation.

Looking for Parent Volunteers to help during this period (Second Nutrition Break- Thursdays)

Perhaps utilize Cool Cat  Leadership Group for assistance?

– Primary reading assessment, midterm. Reassess students who didn’t mean begin of term threshold
– Early reading working with students and teachers to better support the classroom
– Mrs. Zettel- Linders class is organizing a food drive (Jan. 19th-Jan. 27th)
– Smencil sales in February
– Strong start delayed

Dance
Vote on a new dance name (Mrs. Baer had a list of good ones we could not find) going for more friendly, moving your body and having fun type vibe then Valentine’s Day themed.
Farm to table popcorn – offers different flavours( and sells in cases prepackaged. Cost: 32 bags for a decreased price(go Becky) $27.20 (approved by school council)
Any popcorn bags leftover will be sold on nutrition break the following days
Glows sticks – 1 for all students and selling extra. Cost 600 units for $42.49 (approved by school council)

Parents can pre order on school day starting March 20th – April 17th. Jib-bits expected delivery date May 11th.
Less than 500 = $2.75 each.
More than 1000 =$1.55 each
Could sell extras at fun fair or use for paw awards
Still discussing pricing ( 1 for, 3 for, 5 for)

Craft club (grades 1 and 2)
Thursday’s first nutrition break starting in April (full break to allow more time for crafts)
One volunteer per table and ask leadership club for volunteers
Bi weekly a starting with one month may add more dates depending on turn out (grade 1s separately every other week, grade 2’s separately)
Craft supplies – getting them donated by value village from their Get to Give program (also offers other donations for the school, extra clothes, books supplies ext)
Chantal to type up and send approval to the office before getting started.
