Good Morning Coronation Families,

As part of our typical staffing process, there is sometimes a need to make adjustments to classes based on student enrolment, as well as budgetary and Ministry of Education class size requirements. I am writing today to let you know that due to increased enrollment, Coronation will need to reorganize some of its classes. We’re excited to share that this reorganization involves adding a new junior class and an additional teacher which will allow for smaller class sizes in our junior grades!

This change requires a reorganization of our classes and teaching staff and will involve the need to move some students into different classes. In light of these changes, our staff will be collaborating to make decisions that are in the best interests of all our students. Our team will carefully consider each student’s academic, social, and emotional needs to ensure they are placed in the best possible learning environment.

If your child will be impacted by these changes, I will be connecting with you directly on Friday to share further details. We anticipate our new class arrangements will begin later next week and will communicate the exact date to all families following the completion of our hiring process.

We recognize that this change requires adjustments and are committed to making the transition as smooth and positive as possible for all our students. We will ensure that time is provided for the students moving to new classes to meet their new teacher and visit their new classroom ahead of the scheduled transition date.

As a reminder, student health and well-being supports and resources are available to families. Additional information is available on the Mental Health and Well-being website.

Thank you in advance for your support as we implement these changes.

Sincerely,

Principal Jenni-Rebecca Baer
